Megan Pinson joined the women’s rugby staff as an assistant coach in August 2018. The Fallbrook, California native brings over a decade of playing and coaching experience to the program.
Pinson began playing in 2007 when she was in seventh grade and continued into high school and in college at American International College and Central Washington University. She was involved with the USA All-American 15’s U17 and U20 teams from 2010 to 2016 and the World Cup Trials in 2016 where she finished her playing career.
Pinson began her coaching career that same year for a high school rugby team in Temecula, California and she also became a personal trainer. Finding joy in doing both, she furthered her passion by becoming a bronze level Olympic weightlifting coach.
“When I love something, I put my whole heart into it and you can feel my passion radiate off of me,” she said. “There are two quotes that I live by. ‘Always leave people better than you found them,’ and ‘When there’s nothing left to burn, you have to set yourself on fire.’”
